FUMA Jr. Prep Baseball vs. Fluvanna
FUMA played Fluvanna last night in a cold drizzle but that did not dampen the spirit of the Fork Union team. Justin Edell started on the mound for FUMA and gave the team four very solid innings. Stephen Maltrotti relieved him and had two good innings that kept the team in the game. With great hitting from both sides and some good defense as well, the game was tied going into the bottom of the 7th inning. Fluvanna scored on a squeeze play with one out to win the game 9 to 8. Notables at the plate include: Russell Bodine with a home run; Tyler Anderson with a ground rule double; and Stephen Maltrotti going 2 for 2 with two singles.
