FUMA Faculty & Staff in Richmond's 10K Race
"Some came to win. Others came for fun. And plenty of the 25,023 people who ran or walked the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K made somebody proud." (Excerpt from Richmond Times Dispatch)
Of those 25,000 people, 5 were participants from Fork Union Military Academy - Lynn Armstrong, John Ransone, Matt Donohue, Melissa Barber and Dick Washington. They ran in the Richmond Monument Avenue 10K on Saturday, March 31st. Lynn Armstrong, FUMA Librarian, won her age group. These members of the faculty and staff are very active and participate in many races throughout the year. It wouldn't suprise us if we even saw them (among many others) in the upcoming Fork Union 4-Miler on Saturday, April 28th.
For more information on the 10K go to Richmond Times Dispatch.
