Alumni Scholarship Program
The Alumni Scholarship program is a tool available to our alumni to help bring new cadets to Fork Union Military Academy. Students recommended and nominated by an alumnus, who are accepted for admission to the Academy, are eligible to receive a scholarship to Fork Union Military Academy between $500 and $3,000.
"It is no secret that word-of-mouth is our number one recruiting tool, and who better to tell prospective students about the benefit of a FUMA education than those who attended in the past" said LTC Steve Macek, Director of Admission. "I hope that the Alumni Scholarship will enhance an already strong referral process and bring cadets of quality to Fork Union Military Academy for years to come."
LTC Bobby Cobb, Executive Director of Development, agrees. "The alumni scholarship is another way for alumni to stay involved with Fork Union as it engages them in the process of recruitment. We are always thankful for any support our alumni bring to the table, but bringing a new cadet to FUMA is part of our overall mission."
A FUMA alumnus must request an application from the Development Office (434/842-4370) in order to nominate a student for the Alumni Scholarship and return it to the Director of Development for approval.
