2006 Graduate Receives AP Scholar Award

Jarvis Johnson, a 2006 graduate, received the AP Scholar Award by the College Board in recognition of his exceptional achievement on the college level Advanced Placement Program (AP) exams. Jarvis is from Breckenridge, CO and is currently attending college in Australia. His AP grade average was 4.75 out of 5.0.

The College Board's Advanced Placement Program offers students the opportunity to take the challenging college-level courses while still in high school, and to receive college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on the AP Exams. About 18 percent of the more than 1.3 million high school students in 16,000 secondary schools worldwide who took the AP Exams performed at a sufficiently high level to merit the recognition of AP Scholar. The faculty and staff at the Academy congratulate Jarvis on his accomplishments and wish him all the best for future success!
