FUMA Wins 2nd Straight Dogwood Track & Field Classic
FUMA won its second straight Dogwood Track and Field Classic on Saturday, April 29th at the UVA's Lannigan Field. The FUMA Blue Devils finished with 66 points to run away with the victory in the meet that included more than 1,800 participants from 91 high schools.
Axel Mostrag broke the meet record and set a personal best in the men's 1,600 meters, his time was 4 min., 13.42 seconds. Brandon Caleb scored 25 points by himself, and took fifth place in the 110-meter hurdles. He came in first in the triple and long jump. He earned six more points for FUMA on the third-place 400 relay team. Caleb hit his personal best on the triple jump, with 47 feet, 2 inches.
Mostrag and Caleb are congratulated in helping make the Dogwood Classic a true FUMA day!
