Varsity Baseball

Varsity Baseball continued their hitting drought in another loss, 5 to 0, to a strong Woodberry Forest team yesterday. Matt Smith pitched a flawless first two innings and was taken out to be saved for the 2 upcoming games this week. Wes Sherrill replaced him pitching well, but an overthrow error in the 5th inning eventually would cost FUMA a few runs, and impact our morale. Woodberry's Pitcher, Morris, threw a no-hitter striking out 15 batters. The overall defensive effort was strong for FUMA, so they look to keep that defensive momentum and awaken their bats this Thursday at Miller School and against Woodberry again on Friday.
