Middle School Baseball
The baseball team suffered another heartbreaking loss yesterday to their prep-league rivals, the St. Chris Saints. The team was led on the field by the crafty pitching of Brandon Murphy and in the later innings, the hard throwing of Blake Jones and Mike Mathis. But the Saints were just too much to overcome. They opened the game with a 5 run first inning, which shook the foundations of our young pitcher. The young men played hard until the end but it just was not enough to overcome the early deficit. They handed the young Blue Devils a devastating loss 15 - 4. We will get two days worth of good practice in before our next game here against Prospect School Thursday at 4:30.
