FUMA Prep Baseball Topples Trinity
The FUMA Prep Baseball team toppled another powerhouse prep league team last Thursday as they beat Trinity Episcopal 4 to 1. Matt Smith pitched a gem, striking out numerous batters including getting out of a jam in late innings with men in scoring position, striking out a batter with a 3&2 count. The bats came alive to make up for a few errors in the field with Donny Outlaw hitting his second home run of the season, as did Michael Walker. Trinity was undefeated in the prep league until Thursday's game. This win brought out FUMA's true potential and shines the light ahead for the state tournament.
