FUMA Now Looks Forward After Tough Loss
Submitted by Cadet Eugene Connor
FUMA Prep Baseball subjected themselves to their worst played game yesterday with a 7 to 0 loss against Collegiate. The game was knotted at zeros until about the third inning when Collegiate's bats came alive against the hard-throwing Michael Walker, who took the loss for FUMA. The defense sputtered for the Blue Devils as the game continued, and the bats could never find the open spaces in the field with many hits going straight at the opposing players. Carl Daniel was one of the few that struck the ball well all game, and Hunter Fairchild laid down a mentionable bunt that almost sparked a FUMA rally. FUMA looks to put this behind them and get ready for a trip to Hargrave on Saturday.
