FUMA Lax vs. Tandem
FUMA's first game against Tandem Friends was a nail-biter concluding with a 9-8 loss. The rematch between the two teams Thursday April 27th proved to be as exciting. The score at the half was 6 to 3 with FUMA trailing. During the second half, the lead bounced back and forth, but FUMA led at the close of the third quarter 8 to 7.
With five minutes left in the game, a timely shot from the crease evened the score 9 to 9. Tandem bought time and was able to retake the lead with less than two minutes in the game. In the final seconds, long stick middie, James Gorman stole the ball and ran the length of the field. His shot bounced high off the post as time expired.
FUMA scores were credited to George Robinson (1), John McAfee (3), Jeffrey Newton (3), James Gorman (1), and Jordon Cavanaugh (1).
