Junior Prep Baseball defeats Trinity

Junior prep baseball defeated Trinity 7 to 4 on a beautiful Thursday afternoon at Trinity High School. Sophomore Justin Fregeau went 6 innings for the visiting Fork Union Blue Devils as he show cased his stuff after a rocky second inning, in which FUMA gave up 4 runs. FUMA was paced at the plate with doubles by Josh Brown, Robert Shermer, and John Malley; although Malley just missed a triple as he had to retrace his steps after missing second base. The most impressive part of the afternoon was FUMA displaying a little 2 out fireworks as they scored the last 3 runs to break a 4-4 tie. The defense settled in as they made quick work of Trinity in the final two innings including a great play at the plate in which shortstop Tyler Jackson fired one to catcher Josh Brown who stopped the scoring threat dead in his tracks. Overall, it was a great team win for the FUMA Blue Devils.
