Bush-Cheney wins mock election

Fork Union Military Academy held its Civic Responsibility Day on Thursday, September 16, 2004 complete with speeches, forums, bumper stickers, and ballots.
In FUMA's mock election, the Republicans trounced the Democrats two to one in a landslide. The final vote counts were:
Badnarik (Libertaran Party): 4 votes
Peroutka (Constitution Party): 2 votes
Hanging chads (multiple party votes on single ballot: 8
Kerry (Democratic Party): 100 votes
Bush (Republican Party): 204 votes
Write-in votes:
"Goose" Roberts: 2 votes
"The 'cute' Republican girl": 2 votes
Cadets participated actively in forums held in the library, featuring representatives from the Republican and Democrat parties. The discussions were lively and cadets asked many excellent and probing questions of the guest speakers, and of each other.
