FUMA Alum Brian Kozlowski starts for the NFL Washington Redskins
FUMA Alumnus Brian Kozlowski has moved to the NFL's Washington Redskins and is doing well in the competition for starting H-back.
From article in the Daily Press:
H-BACK SPOT COMPETITIVE
Besides the competition for the No. 2 running back spot, the most competitive spot in Redskins camp as been the starting H-back position. Mike Sellers started the first two preseason games, and Brian Kozlowski started against Miami and is currently listed first on the team's unofficial depth chart.
"That's a very close, hard-fought deal there," Gibbs said. "(Tight ends/H-back coach) Rennie (Simmons) has worked hard with those guys, and we've got a really good group there. It's going to be a tough decision."
Most likely, Kozlowski, Sellers and rookie Chris Cooley will see significant playing time during the season. Cooley leads the trio with three catches for 48 yards. Kozlowski has two catches and Sellers one.
Gibbs wouldn't speculate on how many tight ends/H-backs the team would keep.
"I won't get into the numbers because then everybody panics," he said. "We have some idea, but discussing them won't be good."
A guess: The definites will be Sellers, Kozlowski and Cooley as H-backs and Walter Rasby and Robert Royal as tight ends.
