Cadets continue to assist Cunningham Students

A group of cadets from Major John Marston's class got to enjoy a day helping Cunningham Elementary students at their school carnival a few weeks ago. Each week FUMA cadets assist the students in the classroom and have been a very positive influence on these elementary students. A Cunningham parent stated, "I have seen first hand how helpful, courteous and willing these young men are to help these kids." Some of the children have even developed a little relationship with the cadets throughout the school year.

Cadets participate in Community Blood Drive

Recently FUMA cadets donated blood to support the Virginia Blood Services and the Fork Union Firehouse. Ellen Melton, FUMA Allowance Officer, coordinated the drive on behalf of the local fire station and requested 10-20 donors/pints. The cadets came through and contributed 55 pints. The representatives stated the cadets were pleasant to work with and very well behaved. Cadet Karl Mulcahy was the cadet officer in charge. We want to thank our cadets for their support of the community and for representing the Academy in such a positive way.
