Cancer Awareness Day

On Monday, Feb. 21, 2005 at 2:30 PM we are going to observe Cancer Awareness Day. A number of our faculty, staff, their family members as well as student families have gone through surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments. They have been an inspiration to all of us as they dealt with this disease. We want them to know that they are among the heroes and heroines of world. They have given us hope, courage and inspired us through their courage in dealing with cancer. We all need to continue to keep them in our prayers and pray that one day there will be a cure.

New FUMA / Dallas Cowboys Poster

As you may know by now, three FUMA alumni are playing for the Dallas Cowboys this year: Vinny Testaverde ('82), Eddie George ('92), and Dexter Coakley ('93). All three of these gentlemen graciously gave of their time to produce a photo for a poster promoting FUMA and honoring their success stories. It is highly unusual to have two Heisman Trophy winners (Testaverde and George) from one high school/prep school, let alone have them play on the same NFL team at the same time.
