Weekend Field Trips

Each week our students will have fun while learning and experiencing so much about American culture.

There will be four planned field trips:

  • Trip to Monticello - The students will experience the amazing history of Thomas Jefferson, an American founding father, by visiting his home, gardens and taking a guided tour throughout the property. Please visit their website: http://www.monticello.org

  • Two trips will be taken to Richmond, Virginia. One will be a trip designed for shopping, movies, restaurants and more! The second trip will be to Kings Dominion Amusement and Water Park. Please visit their website: http://www.kingsdominion.com

  • The fourth field trip will be to New York City. Students will depart by train on a three-day adventure of a lifetime. Your son will have the opportunity to be on a safe guided trip (along with his FUMA teachers), to one of the most fascinating cities in the U.S. Students will learn hands-on history and culture of this city of 8.3 million people of all denominations and ethnicity. There will be guided tours to several museums, Times Square, Central Park, and Fifth Avenue. Seeing a Broadway show is also a part of this exciting trip. This trip is being facilitated by the professional travel company, Grand Classroom. Please visit this web page for more information: http://www.grandclassroom.com/trips/2012/forkunioninternational
