How to Apply for Summer School

The process for applying to Summer School is the same as that for admission to the regular academic year. However, summer school course offerings are for grades 6 through 12 (a student must have completed grade 6 to apply).

To request admissions information for the Summer School you may complete our online form to request an admission packet, or call us
at 1-800-GO-2-FUMA (1-800-462-3862) to request an admissions packet be mailed to you.

You may also apply online or download an application to complete and mail to us.

If you have already submitted an application for Fall enrollment, please contact the Admissions Office to have your application considered for our Summer School. You do not have to complete separate application for Summer School enrollment if one is already on file for our regular academic year.

In the application process, you will be asked to submit the following:

Application
Family Questionnaire
Character Questionnaire
English Teacher Recommendation
Math Teacher Recommendation
Complete Transcript of Student's Academic Record
Non-Refundable Application Fee  (This fee is a separate fee and is not applied to the cost of the session)

As soon as possible after the application materials are completed and returned to the Academy, the Admissions Office will notify the applicant of the acceptance decision. Upon receipt of the reservation fee to confirm enrollment, the Academy will mail the necessary enrollment materials: basic regulations, a medical form, and parental permission forms for leaves and activities. The medical form indicates that the student must have a physical examination prior to reporting, and a record of all immunizations required by the Virginia State Health Department.
