Academics

Fork Union Military Academy is first and foremost a college preparatory school. We offer high quality academics in a structured environment designed to meet the needs of boys in grades 6 through 12 and postgraduates.

Upper School

Our Upper School program serves approximately 350-400 students in grades 9 through 12 as well as about 60 postgraduate students preparing for college.

Middle School

Our Middle School program houses 80-100 students in grades 6 through 8. Middle School students are housed in their own separate barracks facility and follow a more traditional curriculum appropriate for their developmental level.

Summer School

Each July, we offer a four-week summer session. Our summer session offers students an opportunity to take a new course (even an advanced course like physics or trigonomety) and get a step ahead toward college, or to retake one or two courses to improve their grade performance.

Accreditation

Fork Union Military Academy is fully accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools, and is a member of the
National Association of Independent Schools,
and the Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States.
