Middle School (Grades 6 - 8)
at
Fork Union Military Academy
Fork Union Military Academy's Middle School offers an ideal educational setting for boys in grades six through eight. Designed to meet the developmental and spiritual needs of the early adolescent, the school has its own administration, faculty, barracks, and classrooms. Boys who experience life as cadets at the Middle School are provided challenges and opportunities unique to this setting.
In the classroom, cadets are afforded an academic program based on high expectations for the learner. The development of self-initiative in the quest for knowledge is the desired outcome of all instruction. The military program is designed to promote teamwork, self-discipline, and pride in accomplishment. Encouraging healthy physical development is another mission of the Middle School. Spiritual growth is encouraged through morning devotions and regular chapel services.
Through his experience at the Middle School, a cadet is given the opportunity for growth in all areas of his life. It is the mission of the faculty and staff to ensure that each boy is provided a safe, secure, and supportive environment in which to grow and develop his potential.
