How's your son doing with Religion at FUMA
Wed, 09/08/2010 - 4:27pm
I would be interested in hearing from parents as to their young man's interest/participation in the religious activities at FUMA. The school stands for much and I know that education received is vital in the occupations of today, however, since my 5 years spent at the school and really receiving nothing from the religious aspect since it was a forced area of study, I am curious as to what is being taught and retained by your student.( As we all know in life & politics much can be said and little be done or accomplished ). I am also very curious as to each student's faith and the building of that faith. I am also interested if your student entered FUMA with little or no faith, to your knowledge, and then accepted and/or rededicated his Christian faith and how that came about. Please feel free to contact me in a response at some future time as the school year procedes and your communication with your student on these important subjects evolve. You may even email me at jbrow61@bellsouth.net. I am gathering general information for a doctorate degree that is being pursued. Thanks and God Bless,
In His Light,
Rev / Prof Jay Brown "71", BBA, MBA, CPA, MDiv

I'm not sure what exactly
I'm not sure what exactly you're looking for but I will say my son is doing great at FUMA. This is his second year and he is a senior. We sent him there for academics and structure. For us, the fact that FUMA is a "bible based" school was an added bonus. As we didn't hold my son's prior school responsible for his relationship with God, we don't hold FUMA responsible either. My son has a relationship with God, a bible, and parents who send him weekly letters containing information from lessons taught and preached at our church.
All that to say, he's involved in some of the religious activities around campus but at the end of the day, he is responsible for nuturing and maintaining his relationship with God, not the faculty and staff at FUMA.
Have a great day!

This is my son's first
This is my son's first year...will let you know how it's going. I am hoping that FUMA will strengthen his walk with God.
