Leave question

Can someone please explain the difference between Weekend Leave and Academic Leave? Also, can a cadet take both Weekend leave AND Parent's Leave in October? Thanks!

Visiting
Upper School visiting, day passes and leave begin on October 1. In the meantine, if you are able, you may have a short visit with him after one of his football games, the athletic schedules are posted on the web site. Phone and email access will begin on Sept. 19. All cadets are encouraged to write to their families.

Because the cadets' daily
Because the cadets' daily schedule is pretty structured and full, it is best to coordinate any visits with their periods of free time. You should contact Robbin Dodson in the Commandant's Office (she is the secretary there) at 434-842-4231 to learn about good times to visit.

Leave
Weekend Leave is a "regular" leave given to the entire corps of cadets - usually one per month. Academic Leave is a special earned leave and is in addition to regular leave. Yes, a cadet can take a regular leave and any other special or earned leaves available in the same month.
