We are considering FUMA for our 15 year old son for his junior & senior year. We would like some honest, parent chat-back on what FUMA has done/can do for our son. We will be visiting shortly. Our son is not a troubled child, but is frustrated with the lack of spirit and motivation in the public schools. Your thoughts please... we will check back! Thank you!

He will get all the

He will get all the motivation and spirit he desires. I am not a parent of a student attending rather I am an alumnus from the Class of 1979. The programs available to challenge your son are numerous to sports to after class activities. School spirit is outstanding and his grades and study habits will markedly improve. The staff push for excellence and are always available.

I just can't say enough about their programs. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Class of 1979.

No regrets

My son is a freshman - . He attended the summer program because he failed math in 8th grade. He did so well, had so many stories, laughed so much, made so many friends - that everyone who loved him said - "He's going back!" As a single mom, I know I can't do for my son what FUMA can. Even his dad can't. There's something about boys and a pack. They do well. On the first day of school in the fall you will drop your son off. When you return for parents weekend, you will meet a proud young man with a light inside him you've never seen. Whatever they do, it works.

I attended FUMA when I was 15

I attended FUMA when I was 15 also. I was not a bad kid in public schools, I just had trouble focusing on school and my grades became a reflection of that. It was tough at first because you're forced to adapt to the environment which has quickly become your home. FUMA works in so many differant aspects it literally is too many to list. As a cadet our time was occupied with something every hour of the day. I played an organized sport all year round, studied every night, earned rank and had leadership positions in the barracks. I essentially found who I was as an individual and became that person. Three years later I was in NC attending college. I wish you the best in whatever you do and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
