Our son, Michael,is a new cadet (Jan.entry) We live in Matthews, NC. We are looking for families to car pool with to and from the Charlotte area for this leave and others during the year.

Hi! Our family also lives in Matthews, NC. What a small world. We usually fly our son home for the major leaves. He is allowed 3 extra leaves a year (if they are earned) with Winter Break being one of those. I booked his flight home for next weekend last week and spent $105 each way. That is by far the cheapest I have ever found a flight. We choose to fly out of Richmond because the prices are so much better. Just wanted to let you know of some other options. If you have any other questions, I will be glad to help if I can.
Thanks, Jennifer for your nice reply. My name is Nancy Dundorf and my son, Michael, will also graduate in 2011. We might know each other. Are you comfortable sharing info on your son and yourself? Michael just started at FUMA on Jan. 5th and there are many things that we are learning. Getting home for short leaves is a challenge. If you'd like to car pool we'd be interested. I appreciate any info that can help. We live in the Providence Hills subdivision and have 2 other children. Thanks again for answering my email and I'd love to hear more about your family.
