Christmas music
Tue, 08/26/2008 - 11:38pm
who here remembers the Christmas music that would blare out from the center of Alpha/Bravo barracks all afternoon and after taps from Thanksgiving to Christmas? I heard that for four years. To this day I hate Christmas music.

Christmas music
Ah, the Sandy Forbes playlist of Springsteen's 'Santa Claus is comin' to town', the Chipmunks 'Christmas Time', Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas' and other songs burned into my brain. I remember Nathan Mook threatening to take it over and play Pink Floyd's ANIMALS. Actually, that would have been pretty cool.

I remember Forbes. I forgot he was the "DJ". I seem to remember somebody actually did hijack the stereo for at least half a song one night after Taps. I laugh now when I see on TV how the police use loud, strange music to make criminals give up. How that makes me flash back to my holiday seasons at FUMA.
BTW, what's your full name SamW? I've read a lot of your posts but I'm trying to see if your name/face rings a bell. I know the names of your buddies but as you were in Bravo, I didn't half as many people in Snead Hall as I did in Memorial Hall.
