What was your worst stick?

Mine was civillian clothes. 25 demerits and loss of next leave for a lousy civvie t-shirt. Didn't seem quite fair for the crime.

I remember once when even as a lowly platoon sergeant, I was in charge of "C" company as all the officers were on leave/day permits. My brother was "E" company commander and had Rafael Punceles as 1st Sergeant. There was a huge commotion going on over "E" 1st platoon when officers call sounded. Everyone was in fatigues. I clearly heard Punceles report sing out to my brother in his Venezuelan accent: "One man absent, one man late and someone crapped in Goad's boot, sir". "E" company erupted in laughter along with my third platoon. Apparently someone was annoyed over Goad who had turned, from what I understand, into the company "rat", and that someone had defecated in Goad's boots in retaliation. So he had worn his dress shoes with his fatigues, hence the announcement at officers call. I saw Red Pulliam start his way over to "E" company and all my brother could do was hang and shake his head for the inevitable confrontation with the then Commandant.

My brother then clamped down on his company to which someone then glued his sabre shut. It was rather funny watching him in frustration as he tugged mightily on his sabre's hilt trying to draw it.

MAN!!!! Let me tell you. Some of the stuff I was involved in the Statute of Limitations still hasn't run out on. They would send the current OD after my ancient ... and I would still be walking when I was 75 y/o/age

Best CQ stick I got was when a guy came in and ducttaped my roommate to his chair. First he just went around the chest, then he came back and ducttaped his ankles to the chair, wrists together and mouth shut, then lay him down on the ground. Before they got his ankles, he got up, still taped to the chair, and walked around the hallway. I was a Sgt at the time, so I got busted as well. Also, I had been going into peoples rooms and talking with them, though no one caught me. I spent some time in the LTs room as well, but he didnt care.

My most memorable stick was the massive spitball fight Jay Venezia and I got into during study hall. I spent the first hour of CQ preparing my stockpile (well over 200 spitballs) pre loaded 8 mcdonalds straws for easy access and right after the bathroom break, I let him have it. The walls on both sides of our room were a sloppy , spitball covered mess.

I was proud of that CQ violation! LOL

We were both freshman but we were at least former Junior Schoolers so we were slightly better than mere "regular" freshmen.

Montes, that was my roommate John Kenney's arm that went through the door glass. If I remember right, you and someone else took him to the infirmary and you told me to clean up the room. There was blood and glass everywhere. It took two weeks for the glass to be replaced in the door. That following Saturday inspection, someone from battalion staff did the inspection. He asked what happened to the window. Captain Bluxom (Charlie CO) and Lionel Nesbitt (2nd LT, 3rd Platoon) both said simutaneously "Colonel Davis has handled it" and that was that. Of course poor John was standing there was his arm wrapped up to his elbow like a mummy. Somehow he avoided cutting any ligaments but he did nick an artery.

a- 85-86- Sophmore Year- Direct Disobidience- 15 demerits, and demoted from Sgt. to Cpl, for me and from 2nd LT to Sgt.1st Class for Jorge Contogonas. Most people needed 40 demerits, to loose rank, but we were supposed to be setting the example for other foreign cadets, or so we were told.

The reason, we missed the fisrt bus to mass, and went on the second, whcih as nothing rare, but that particular Sunday the NCO of the dat came and told us not to go, and since both Jorge and I out ranked him we wnet any way, not knowing the actual order had come from CSM Pate, who called us into his office as soon as we got back.

The other 3 Latinos that went with us that day got a pass.

b- 86-87- Jr. year. Horseplay- 8 demerits. I was 1st SGT C Company, and was doing the rounds before taps, went into a freshmen's room and participated in giving him a wedgie. His underware broke, he flew across the room and put his arm through the glass in his room's door. We took him to the infermery and he needed 8 or 10 stiches. Capt. Joyce wrote the incident on his report, but didn't have all the details.

The next morning, I turned my self in, went to se Col. Davis before class formation, thinking, I was going to walk out without my 1st SGT stripes (especially given the experience above), I explained to the commandant what had happened, he read Capt. Joyce's report, and let me off the hook with 8 demerits.
