Lost roommates?
Ok, Will. Here it goes:
1985-86: Band Company, non-player. Lived with Chris Williams and Richie Williams. Richie got tossed due to excessive dememerits and allegedly for a knife fight. I can't verify the knife fight, but it makes a great story. Chris joined the band as a Tuba player (to get out of drill), Richie moved to Bravo and I got moved to first lorr annex of BAnd. Lived with Brian Smail and Ishmun Williams. Smail became a local celebrity due to his keyboard prowess and Ishmun and I ended up together on Third Platoon Bravo, section.
1986-1987: Mike Fuller and I were together all year. He didn't kill me and I didn't drive him insane. We still talk to this day, so I suppose that's a good sign.
1987-1988: Wierd year. I cannot remember the name of my first roommate. I was a junior and they gave me a freshman. Heavyset kid who refused to shower in the barracks. Went to the infirmary daily to shower. I cannot remember where he moved to. John Tullous(sp?) was my next roomie. Nice guy, good heart, strong as an ox. Kept hanging out at Captain Nothnagle's house, doing woodwork. He moved up to my room to escape living with Asher Levin. John and I didn't quite gel and next was Rob Hill. Tall guy, football and wrestler. His hobby was practicing WWF moves on me. I can tell you the figure-four, camel clutch, scorpian deathlock, sharpshooter, and all the other submission moves are real, they work and they hurt! I escaped from Rob by moving in with Jerry Fredricks and...Hogue (I think). They tried to get me in shape by having me do 75 push-ups a night. I ended the year with them
1988-1989: lived with Bryan Vakos all year. We fought every ten days, no matter what. God help anyone who tried to break up our fights, 'cos we just turned on them and beat on them instead. I guess that's what brothers do.

Oh my God! Wings Olen...Olsen...whatever. I remember sitting next to him on the flight home from Richmond for...Christmas, I think, my freshman year ('86). He talked about being from big money, private planes, limos, and all kinds of crap in Florida. I do remember he conned the stewardess into giving him (ok, selling) a can of beer on the flight. I was two, no three, things: 1) stupid enough to buy his BS, 2) stupid enough to follow anyone who I thought was 'cooler' than myself (which was just about everyone), and 3) smart enough NOT to share that beer. Too many FUMA officers (cadet) on that flight and I was positive if I took a drink, I would be expelled. (Now I don't give a crap about being 'cool' [it just happens on a motorcycle] and I haven't had a drink for over 17 years. How times change)

Lost roommates?
Kashta Lambert graduated from West Point with my brother. They also went to the military academy prep school together. My brother recently heard from Kashta. He is out of the Army after serving 6-8 years. (my brother was out too...but got "invited" back for a lovely vacation in Afghanistan) Anyway, I think that Kashta is working as a middle eastern liason associated with the United Nations.
My connection? My son is currently a cadet (10 grade). Knowing that Kashta had a good experience at FUMA was helpful in our son's decision to attend FUMA.

Clements
Hey bro, I remember he was from a very small town called Manquin which is northeast of richmond. His Dad was/is named either Page (also) or Carlisle Clements. You can start there. Thank me later, fool. Lets get together sometime soon.

Tommy, I dropped you a note on the PM, will be in touch for sure.
I kind of decided to write this to see if any other alums would write up some of their roommates, just to see how many people had a chance to live with other people... it's really funny, I see a bud from FUMA on a weekly basis lately, and even got to stand up as his best man, when he married this past fall, but we were never roommates. Was hoping some other folks would share... then again, how many guys hit a 7 year mark at the Fork? When I started, it was an 8 year mark, anyhow. I think Ben Arritt did it. That's all I can remember right off.
