Got any good stories about him? Does anyone remember why he left the school? Does anyone know what happened to him after leaving FUMA?
Any postings would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I was at FUMA from 1980-1984. Although I doubt that he remembers me, I certainly remember him. I don’t remember the bug eating or the standing on the chair for eating French fries without a fork. I do remember him sending me back to finish the extra ketchup on my lunch tray. I remember what I think may have been one of his favorite expressions—“You Mullets!” LOL. Years later, while spending time on the water along the coast of South Carolina, I would watch what must be the stupidest fish in the world jumping straight out of the water and I would think of him. I thought that he was a great man of honor and integrity who truly cared about the cadets and worked hard to encourage their success. All of the other cadets that I knew shared a similarly high opinion of him. I know that I and many others were disappointed when he didn’t return to the academy. Please wish CSM Hunt a very happy 75th birthday!

CSM Hunt
Hey Guys,
I don't know if you remember me but I was Command Sergeant Major Hunt's 2nd son. I was in the 10th and 11th grade at FUMA from 1980 - 1982 when we left. Pops went back on active duty after Fork Union. He was a CSM at the 18th Airborne Corp, Fort Bragg, NC. I enlisted and became a parachute rigger also at Fort Bragg. While I was at Airborne School getting smoked with two days and two jumps left to graduate, I started getting dogged in front of the whole company by the instructors ( Black Hats) then I saw my Dad behind them laughing.
He made my last two jumps with me and we made several more together over the years. He retired after 32 years of service but couldn't pull himself away from Fayetteville. He still drives to the drop zones on Fort Bragg every once and a while to watch the mass tac jumps.
He's a trip that's for sure. I remember when he ate those bugs. He didn't really like bugs he just hated little wussy boys that would cry when they saw a bug.
Remember what would happen if you ate french fries without a fork? Standing on your chair, "Attention everyone, I apologize for eating french fries with my fingers, this is not McDonalds."
I remember getting crap from guys because he ripped your room up in inspection. You guys think you had it tough, I had 18 years of that and he still managed to make me join the Army. Gotta love him.
If anyone would like to send him a message, contact me. He would love that. His 75th birthday is in 2 weeks OCT 20.
