What ever happened to Maj. Roy Hardy, Jr School Commandant?

I was 1963 Jr. School Grad and i'd like to know what ever happened to Major Hardy?

MAJ HARDY
Yeah, I had him for one year, 8th grade ('60-'61.)
He was the most neat and meticulous man, at least by the way he carried himself. He had the "look" of a commandant, but he wasn't really mean. He was decent to me at least.
Suicide? I wonder if that's true. Makes one wonder also, why, if it is.

Major Roy Hardy
I had heard he committed suicide some time after leaving FUMA, but can't confirm it. Maj Roy Hardy had the biggest most lasting impression on my life and I Thank him for it! He was the most organized and precise person I had ever met. While we sometimes failed his white glove inspections, I did see a soft kinder side of him during my 2 years at Junior School.
