Server Upgrade

Within the next few days (08-25-2006 to 08-31-2006) I will be moving the entire forkunion.com to a new dedicated server. The aim is to provide faster and more consistent serving of our Web pages and I hope you will see at least some speed improvement. Another reason for the upgrade is to provide more storage space for our podcast and other multimedia files, as our need for additional hard drive space has been growing rapidly in recent months.

Periodically, you may come upon one of the "board out of service" type of messages when you are trying to access this bulletin board. Never fear, it is just your faithful, hard-working Webmaster trying to tinker with the programming and migrate all the database stuff to the new server. I will try to make any such downtime as brief as possible (minutes, not hours).
