We do have high admissions standards and will not admit boys in trouble with the law, with drug offenses, or who have certain behavioral conditions (ODD for example).
When I was 9 or 10 I went to a doctor who said i had ODD. I really would like to go to this school and I'm sure i could do good here. Does what that says mean that I have no chance of being admitted?

well..
The Admissions process looks at a number of factors and it would be a good idea for you to call the Admissions Office at 1-800-GO-2-FUMA and talk about your situation with them. All the admissions process is trying to do is make sure that we do admit those young men who can do well in our school, and don't admit those who are unlikely to succeed here. That's good for us and good for you, too. We want to set young men up for success, not set them up for failure.
A diagnosis of ODD is usually a warning flag that indicates a young man might not adjust well to our military system here. Each situation must be looked at individually, however. In some circumstances, we have a psychologist we work closely with evaluate candidates and help determine whether FUMA would be a good fit for them.
Just be candid and forthright during the admissions interviews and together we can find out if FUMA is a good fit for you, too. Best wishes to you!
