Military Ball and Parade Season Information for Upper School Day Students

March 24, April 14 and April 28 are Saturday class days. The Military Ball is on the evening of April 28.  
Parade Season begins on April 29 and there is a Full Dress Parade each Sunday until Graduation. All cadets are required to attend Parades. Parade dress is Class A White, battle jackets, white hats, white gloves, dyking and brass plates. First call for all parades is 1:30PM. May 6 is the Alumni Weekend Veterans Memorial which is mandatory.  First Call is 10:00 AM. May 13th is the Mother’s Day Parade and May 20th is the Greenbrier Parade.
Graduation is May 26th at 10:30 AM – All cadets are required to attend.

March 24th is a Saturday class day. Day Passes begin at 12:30 and end at 9:00 PM. Sunday Day Passes begin at 10:00 AM and end at 6:30 PM.
Senior & Postgraduate Leave begins at 12:30 on Friday, March 30th and ends at 7:30 on Sunday, April 1st.
 
Easter Leave begins at 12:30 on April 6th and ends at 7:30 on Monday, April 9th. The shuttle to and from the Richmond area will run.
 
April 14th is another Saturday class day – Day Passes are available on the same schedule shown above.
 
April 20th is Academic, Winning Company, Zero Demerits, Meritorious, Athletic and Band Appreciation leave beginning at 12:30 on Friday and ending at 7:30 on Sunday, April 22. The shuttle to and from the Richmond area will run.
 
The 28th of April is a Saturday Class Day and the Military Ball is that evening. The first Full Dress Parade is at 2:00 pm on Sunday April 29th. All cadets are required to be in the Parade and first call is 1:30.
 
There is a Full Dress Parade each Sunday in May and all cadets are required to attend.   The 6th of May – Leave ends at 8:00 AM. First Call for the Alumni Day Veterans Memorial Service is 10:00 AM. First Call for the Parade is 1:30 PM.   Leave and Day Passes end at 1:00 PM each Sunday thereafter.  The final leave of the school year is Mother’s Day Leave which begins at 12:30 PM on Friday May 11th.  May 19th is a Saturday Class Day. The Greenbriar Parade is on May 20th. 
 
Graduation is on May 26th at 10:30 AM – All cadets are required to attend.

Saturday, March 3, is a class day and Alumni Speaker Day. A dinner will be held that evening at 1800 for Seniors and PG’s, uniform is Class A Winter.

Friday, March 9 is the day for Term 4 semester exams and the day on which Spring Break begins at 1230.

Spring Break ends at 1930 on Sunday March 18.

March 24 is a Saturday class day.

The 2012 Senior & PG Leave begins March 30 and ends April 1.

Upper School Day Students

FUMA Day Student Parents:
 
Just to make sure all understand our policy on inclement weather incidents, please be advised that we expect day student cadets to attend classes on all scheduled class days. For those weather events that are forecast, we have overnight accommodations available for anyone anticipating difficulty in making it to school the following morning.  If there is an emergency event, they should report to class ASAP later in the day. Day cadets are accountable for all work missed and absences are not excused. While we do not expect anyone to take undue risk, we do provide options that will allow for attendance. Thank you for your understanding and support.  COL Miller
 

Upper School Leave Office

The last regular leave of the school year begins at 12:30 on February 24th and ends at 7:30 on Sunday the 26th. A shuttle bus is available to Richmond Greyhound, Amtrak and RIC Airport for weekend leaves. The cost is $60.00 round trip. Please let us know if you have questions or need further information.  Loss of leave because of CQ violations and E.D. tours will apply to this leave.
Spring Break, the final major leave, begins at 12:30 on Friday, March 9 and ends at 7:30 on Sunday, March 18. Early departure and late returns are not allowed.   Charter buses or private hire services are available to destinations indicated below.

·       Reagan National Airport
·       Dulles Airport
·       Tyson’s Corner
