Fork Union Admissions at Tyson's Corner Center January 28 and 29

I will be at the Tysons Corner Center kiosk this weekend, January 28 and 29. Fork Union Military Academy is currently accepting applications for fall and summer enrollment in all grades. Fork Union's unique college preparatory curriculum in which high school students are able to focus on just one class at a time in a safe, structured environment has helped young men reach their true potential for decades. Fork Union's summer session offers young me in grades 6-12 an opportunity to experience the same structure in a 4 week program which includes opportunities for students who may need to improve their skills in specific content areas as well as offering the opportunity to take a new class for credit. If you would like more information regarding the opportunities available to young men at FUMA, please stop by the kiosk Saturday or Sunday. The kiosk is located in Tyson's Corner Center on the second floor just outside Macy's main entrance.

January Admission at Fork Union Military Academy

Each year, Fork Union Military Academy welcomes new Upper and Middle school cadets onto its campus in January. This tradition of rolling enrollment has made it possible to make the transition to FUMA when the time was right for their family.

When I discuss this timing with prospective families, and inquire why they did not enroll in the fall, many indicate that they had not yet heard of FUMA, and they did not want to wait until the next school year. In other instances, families wanted to give their son the opportunity to "turn it around" academically themselves. Sometimes the distractions in their current educational setting are not manageable. Whatever the reason, we are committed to working with families to see if Fork Union Military Academy might be a good fit for their son.

How effective is Fork Union?

The average overall GPA of all of last year’s January entrants currently enrolled at Fork Union is a 3.16.

Is Fork Union the right place for your son? Please give us a call and we would be happy to discuss this with you. The Admissions Office can be reached at 434.842.4205.

If you would like to join us for our Open House this weekend, please stop by the Beatty Library between 9 am and 12 noon on Saturday, December 10th.
