Help FUMA's Fellowship of Christian Athletes Support Operation 25:40

"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'" -  Matthew 25:40

Fork Union Military Academy's FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) Huddle is reaching out to our local churches and the community to help us hold our first annual Operation 25:40, which will take place on FUMA's campus December 10, 2011. The goal of this operation is to help local families in need.

Our FCA Huddle plans to serve a meal with homemade desserts, have a dramatic retelling of the real Christmas story, give away some awesome prizes, offer families the chance to have a family portrait taken, and allow the kids to meet Santa and receive special gifts. We also hope to send each family away with gift bags of essential food and non-food items.

In order to make Operation 25:40 a success, we need your help.

To all parents, cadet family members and/or guardians, you can help FUMA's FCA in the following ways:

Graduation already? Can't be, school just started.

The school year has barely begun and we are already preparing for graduation. We are not trying to rush the seniors out, but the preparations for graduation take some time. The first thing we will be doing is meeting with the senior class on October 17th. The representative from Josten's will be here to give the seniors information on ordering graduation items such as announcements, thank-you notes and a list of other things that are available to them. Each senior will be given a packet of information; it is our hope that they will take this information home so that parents can see it and prepare the order. On October 27th the Josten's representative will be back on campus to take orders from your sons or you can place your order online at www.jostens.com. The Josten's representative is local and will be very helpful. The contact information will be on the packet that is given to your son. December 15th is the deadline for ordering, so attention needs to be given to that date. Please ask him about the packet he received.

Each donated, de-activated phone buys one hour of pre-paid phone time for a service member stationed overseas. Please help out by checking your desks and closets at home, talk to your neighbors, co-workers, fellow civic organization members and church congregation and show concrete support for those who protect us.
