As this school year enters its final lap, we thought that it would be helpful to provide information regarding the upcoming parade season and end-of-the-year activities.

Dear Parents,

President Obama's Speech to Students

September 17, 2009 Dear Parents, No matter your political affiliation, I hope you will take time with your son this weekend to watch President Obama's speech to the children of our nation. The speech was given early in our first week of school, and I felt the need to maintain our schedule that day to help our cadets get oriented to their new classes. The message presented by our President in this speech is one that should be heard by all of our young people.

Parents' Weekend Plans

Dear Parents, Greetings! As you are hopefully aware, Parents' Weekend will be held October 23 - 24. Parent/Teacher conferences will take place that weekend on Friday and Saturday. These conferences, held in the teachers' classrooms, are a valuable means of gaining information about how your son is adjusting to FUMA and the progress he is making in his classes. There is no need to arrange an appointment with teachers. Upon registering with Mrs.

First Leave Weekend!

Dear Parents, Hopefully all of you were able to talk to your son at some point during the course of this past weekend. I know that the boys were anxious to hear news from home. Hopefully you received some good reports mixed in with the other sordid details of their FUMA experiences so far. We continue to be pleased with the overall adjustment of our cadets. This has been the smoothest opening I have experienced in my 15 years as the Middle School Headmaster. The personalities are all different, but we have been pleased with how well they are getting along.

Plans for Registration Day

Greetings! I hope that this entry finds you and your family enjoying the summer. I find it hard to believe that it is almost over. The school year is right around the corner, so I thought I would touch base with a few things to make sure that the opening day runs as smoothly as possible.

Summertime, and the living is easy...

Greetings! I hope all of our cadets are enjoying their summer break. I trust that they are all cleaning their rooms each morning and making their beds. I further trust that they are responding to their parents as "Sir" and "Ma'am", as the situation dictates. I am enjoying some peace and quiet here in the office. I find that I can actually enjoy a couple cups of coffee and can read the newspaper from front to back before jumping into my work. I have wrapped up most of the paperwork from this past year and am beginning preparations for the coming year.
